Percy Mamaila

South-African artist Percy Maimela is best-known for his portrait paintings made out of salt. It all started in 2014, when he was bored in a shop and found a damaged bag of salt that had spilled. He decided to get creative with it, and thus began his journey of developing his artistic niche. His art is meant to encourage people to connect with their deeper emotions - it is provocative, political and powerful.
